Asok
1BR · 22,000–35,000 THB/mo
Why it works: The BTS and MRT meet here, and many Sukhumvit offices are a short walk or one stop away.
Watch out: Busy, loud and built around offices. Pick a soi that's quiet at night.

The short answer
Find out where your office is first, then start with Asok (if it's on Sukhumvit) or Silom–Sathorn (if it's in the business district). Both sit on the BTS and the MRT, so most offices are a short ride away. Listed rents for a furnished one-bedroom ran roughly 22,000–38,000 THB a month there in Q2 2026. If the rent feels high, Phrom Phong and Thong Lo are one or two stops from Asok.

How I ranked them
No place is bad. Each one just fits a different life.
Short commute, every day
1BR · 22,000–35,000 THB/mo
Why it works: The BTS and MRT meet here, and many Sukhumvit offices are a short walk or one stop away.
Watch out: Busy, loud and built around offices. Pick a soi that's quiet at night.
1BR · 25,000–38,000 THB/mo
Why it works: The business district itself. Sala Daeng BTS and Silom MRT are right there, with Lumpini Park for a morning run.
Watch out: The highest rents on this list, and a longer ride if your office turns out to be on Sukhumvit.
Nicer evenings, still close
1BR · 20,000–32,000 THB/mo
Why it works: One stop from Asok, with a park and malls within walking distance.
Watch out: Rents close to Asok, and very busy around the station.
1BR · 22,000–35,000 THB/mo
Why it works: Two stops from Asok, and the best evenings on the line.
Watch out: Rent, and long sois — a building deep in the soi adds a ride to every commute.
Longer ride, lower rent
1BR · 13,000–19,000 THB/mo
Why it works: A real neighborhood at a lower rent, still on the BTS.
Watch out: A longer ride every morning, and the BTS is crowded at rush hour.
1BR · 11,000–16,000 THB/mo
Why it works: The lowest rents on this list.
Watch out: The longest ride east to most offices. It adds up over a year.
1BR · 15,000–22,000 THB/mo
Why it works: Calm, leafy and full of cafés, on the northern BTS line.
Watch out: Most expat offices are on Sukhumvit or in Silom, which means a long ride, or a change of train for Silom.
This list is not for you if…
→ Your office is outside central Bangkok — say, on Rama 9 or near the airport. Tell me where it is and I'll look again.
→ You work from home most days. See the remote-work list instead.

Questions
In Bangkok, near the office usually wins. Heat and traffic make even a short commute tiring. Live one or two stops away, on the same train line, and you get both.
For most offices in Asok or Silom, the BTS or MRT is faster and more predictable than a car at rush hour.
Yes. Tell me the budget and where the office is, and I'll show you what that money gets in two or three areas.
Not sure where your office is yet?
I'm an agent and I earn a commission when a deal closes — which is exactly why I won't put you somewhere that doesn't fit.
